ADC was founded by former U.S. Senator James Abourezk in 1980. Today, ADC is the largest Arab American grassroots organization in the U.S. It actively combats stereotypes and discrimination against the Arab American community in the United States, serving as a public voice on domestic and foreign policy issues. Additionally, it focuses on educating the American public to foster a better understanding of Arab history and culture. The organization also advocates for transnational social justice, aligning with communities of color and oppressed peoples both domestically and internationally.

The Arab American National Museum (AANM) is the first and only U.S. museum dedicated to capturing the Arab American experience. Since 2005, AANM has documented, preserved, and presented the history, culture, and contributions of Arab Americans.
